The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have welcomed the decision by BA (British Airways) to review and modify its uniform policy to allow the wearing of crosses and religious symbols.
The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, has been taken to task by the British Humanist Association for his attacks on what he calls “aggressive secularists”, notably in the claims and counter claims about the Christmas holidays.
In an event co-sponsored by the thinktank Ekklesia, the Archbishop of York last night launched an outspoken assault on US and UK policy in Iraq, warning of the dangers of "militarism out of control", reports the Guardian newspaper.
