Eastenders star promotes Christian Aid's charity gifts

Eastenders star, Kara Tointon, has made a promotional video featuring Christian Aid's virtual gifts.

The clip, which can be seen on You Tube, shows the actress who plays Dawn Swann in the soap, with children from Zambia who have benefitted from Present Aid, the Christian Aid charity gift giving initiative.

The gifts have been a huge hit at Christmas in previous years, enabling people to send goats, cows, donkeys as well as gifts for children to the developing world, on someone else's behalf.

It can all be done quickly and easily online. The gift giver simply visits the Christian Aid website, and chooses which gift they would like to give. The gift is then sent, and a card is also dispatched with your personal message, to the person on whose behalf you have given the charity gift.

The range of gifts from Christian Aid this year include Agriculture and Livestock such as Turkeys, baby buffalos or a beehive. You can also send disaster emergency kits, smoke free stoves, of gifts to help with water sanitation and education of children.
